In the Indian system,  the Prime Minister is the head of Government and is appointed by the Lok Sabha, rather than elected directly by voters.The party holding a majority in the Lok Sabha elects its leader as Prime Minister.

The National Flag of India was designed by Pingali Venkayya and adopted in its present form during the meeting of Constituent Assembly held on the 22 July 1947, a few days before India's independence from the British on 15 August, 1947.Image result for national flag of india

Colours of Indian National Flag.

The Indian flag has three colors:
  1. saffron at the top,
  2. white in the middle and
  3. green at bottom.
Our tri-coloured National flag reflects in every way the hopes and aspirations enshrined in her constitution. The saffron stands for restraint and sacrifice, the white for piety and purity and the green for courage and vitality.
In the middle of the flag we have the Ashok Chakra with 24 spike.

Godavari: This is the most important river of South India and is considered by many as the Ganga of the south stretching for 1465 km. It raises from the Trimbak Highlands of the Western Ghat ranges near Nasik district of Maharashtra. It then flows southward through Maharashtra , Telangana ,Andhra Pradesh to drain into the Bay of Bengal. Near its mouth the river has also formed a large delta. The important tributaries of Godavari are Penganga, Wardha, Wainganga, Manjari, Pranhita, Indravati etc. Some of its important distributaries are Gautami, Vashista and Bainateya.


Krishna: It rises near the Mahabaleshwar range of the Western Ghats. It then flows 1400 km through Maharashtra, Karnataka , Telangana, Andhra Pradesh until it flows into the Bay of Bengal to the south east. Krishna has also formed a large delta at its mouth. Some of the important tributaries of Krishna are Koyna, Ghataprabha, Malprabha, Bhima, Tunga, Bhadra, Bedbati etc.
